Sameera Khan is from Hunza, in the North of Pakistan and has taken her formal art education in Fine Arts from National College of Arts in Lahore in 2000.
She gained a first class honours degree with distinction and was awarded a bursary from the Aga Khan Foundation to travel to Sheffield Hallam University in UK to undertake a Masters degree course in Print Media Fine Arts.
Her art practice began as a printmaker developing the skills particular to Mughal miniature painting within a contemporary context. Since then the practice has moved in several directions including developing various printmaking techniques which have often been incorporated into painting, sculpture and installation.
She lives in Denmark and works at Copenhagen International School teaching Art and Design. She also teaches part-time at Danish Institute for Study Abroad, European Humanities/Studio Art Module.
Sameera Khan has participated in exhibitions nationally and internationally.
